The New Deal in Graduate Education
Get a master's degree at Penn State Great Valley and become eligible for the New Deal in Graduate Education: Professional Development Opportunities. This program is designed to complement your classroom experience by helping you craft a Personal Development Plan.
Personal Development Opportunities
As a student, you receive professional development classes and workshops at no extra cost through this unique plan.
Here’s how it works: With every graduate course you complete toward your degree, you earn one (1) Professional Development Opportunity (PDO). PDO courses can cost hundreds even thousands of dollars, but as a student you receive them at no extra cost. (NOTE: This offer does not include books and course materials and is valid for two (2) years post graduation.)
Almost all Continuing Professional Eduction courses are PDO eligible. See a list courses, descriptions and PDO levels. Also view our schedule of additional PDO eligible workshops currently being offered.
"The PDO's that I earned for each class taken at Penn State Great Valley are a great opportunity for additional learning and professional certification. I recently received my Certified ScrumMaster and Certified ScrumProduct Owner certifications using my PDOs and I have already seen results in my job search. The classes are interesting, dynamic and interactive and the instruction is top notch."
