Program Objectives

Upon completion of the Penn State Great Valley Database Design & Implementation Certificate program, a student will participate in presentations and hands-on lab work to help build and refine conceptual, technical, and implementation knowledge and skills needed to manage a database project from conception through completion.  Students will apply knowledge at the end of the certificate program by building a usable database in Oracle, DB2, SQL-Server or MySQL as part of a team project.
