Penn State Great Valley's New Faculty Members

Penn State Great Valley has four new faculty members for the fall 2007 semester. In the management division, Kimberly Merriman, assistant professor of management and organization, Matthew Sarkees, assistant professor of marketing, and Jim Lyttle, lecturer in management and organization, have joined the faculty.
 
Merriman, who earned her Ph.D in Organizational Management and Human Resources, and B.B.A. in Accounting from Temple University, comes to Great Valley after stints at Wichita State University and Manhattan College. Before that, she worked in the valuation of commercial real estate and businesses. Her research focuses on individual response to reward systems in the workplace. The Ambler resident teaches courses in organizational behavior, human resource management and leadership.
 
Sarkees, who received his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh and M.B.A. from Villanova University, has worked with both start-up and Fortune 500 companies. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. His research interests include how firms build and deploy resources as well as customer relationship management. The Villanova resident teaches courses in marketing.
 
Lyttle, who holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from York University and an MBA from University of Western Ontario, does research on the effective and responsible use of humor in business. The Pottstown resident teaches courses in communication and behavioral science.
 
Also joining the Penn State Great Valley faculty is Ronald Musoleno, lecturer in educational leadership. Musoleno, of Hatfield, earned his Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. His research interests include instructional strategies and student performance, school administration, and professional development. He teaches courses in educational leadership and curriculum.
