Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies kicks off its Educator Workshop Series in 2008 with “What Every Teacher Should Know about Preparing their Students for State Standardized Tests,” on Thursday, February, 21, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Safeguard Scientifics Building on campus. The workshop, led by Robert Culp, program director of math/science/assessment for West Chester Area School District, will explore various educational statistical tools and analyses used by educational leaders to support student achievement on state standardized assessments, particularly the Pennsylvania State System of Assessment (PSSA). Other benchmarking assessment systems will also be discussed.
