MBA Orientation

Dear Student:

Congratulations and welcome to the MBA Program at the Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies!    With your entrance into the program you join 500 other working professionals pursuing an MBA at this campus. Here is a checklist to help you get started immediately as a Great Valley Student.

Access Account

As a Penn State Student, you must establish a Penn State Access Account. This account allows you to use a variety of Penn State and Internet resources. It is very important that you set up this account prior to taking your first course.

To activate your Penn State Access Account, follow these steps:

  1. Register for your first course, which is listed in your offer letter.
  2. Come to the Computer Lab in the Main Building, Lower Level to sign for your account at the campus signature station. (This must be done in person.)
  3. Follow the instructions at the signature station to activate your account.

Parking

Parking on campus is free, but you must complete a vehicle registration form for the academic year, available at the receptionist's desk  in the Main Building.

Advising

Please contact your adviser during your first semester at Penn State Great Valley to establish a plan of study and discuss your academic and career goals.   Advising Information

Prerequisites

In addition to the advanced and elective courses, most of the MBA core courses have prerequisite requirements.  Your orientation packet contains prerequisite information for all courses, and the information is also posted on the MBA Web site.  Please refer to this information prior to registering for courses.  If you have a question about a particular course, you may check with your adviser or a Management staff member.
