Penn State Great Valley Diversity Action Council

The Diversity Action Council is charged with facilitating and shepherding diversity within the Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies.  The DAC consists of faculty, staff, and students, and has a rich history of providing a variety of activities and critical information to all stakeholder groups concerning diversity within the Penn State Great Valley community.

Mission Statement of Diversity Action Council

We the faculty, staff, and students of the School of Graduate Professional Studies at Penn State Great Valley, are committed to being an example for the active exploration of, respect for, and support of the many dimensions of human differences and similarities. We will achieve this through the measurable quality of our diversity initiatives, the expertise and contributions of our diverse faculty, staff, and students, and our personal and professional growth and achievement.

Penn State Great Valley Diversity Leadership Academy

The Diversity Action Council at Penn State Great Valley has teamed up with the Diversity Leadership Academy to host the Diversity Leadership Academy at the Penn State Great Valley Location.  (more...)

DAC Sponsored Events  

In the fourteen years of its existence, the Diversity Action Council has sponsored over 50 events recognizing and celebrating the cultural, ethnic, religious, and gender diversity of our PSGV community.  This has included workshops, lectures, cultural celebrations, conferences, nationally recognized guest speakers, career days, essay contests for local high schools, and music and art presentations.  In addition, the DAC gives annual awards to staff, faculty members, and students who actively promote diversity, and has given travel funds to faculty and staff for trips to diversity conferences.
