VideoGame.NET ExperienceTM Animation and Web Design
An exclusive program offered by Penn State Great Valley and VideoGame.Net

Kids design their own videogames in a fun, interactive, and supportive university environment!

  • For students and gamers entering 6th through 12th grades
  • Instruction provided in animation, Web design, storyboarding, and character development techniques
  • Play new and pre-released games at the VideoGame.Net Arcade
  • Flash, Photoshop, GameMaker and HTML taught in state-of-the-art computer labs

The VideoGame.Net Experience is a two-week interactive program hosted by Penn State University to help kids learn about the videogame industry using the tools needed to develop videogames – Flash, Photoshop, GameMaker and other software for designing 2D-based games.

The program focuses on 2D game development and the history of game making.  Gamers have an opportunity to play some of the very best new and and pre-released Arcade games, as well as retro-classics for the old NES and Atari.  This provides a well-rounded idea of where videogames came from and where they are going.

Family and multi-course discounts are available.  Programs can also be offered at your school, company, or organization at a group discount rate.  For more information, please call the Continuing Professional Education Office at 610-648-3281.  This program may apply toward a required Graduation Project!  Check with your school.
