Penn State Great Valley will offer the Leadership in Elementary Science Teaching graduate certificate at Fernhill Elementary School in the West Chester School District, beginning this fall. The first course, "SCIED 597 Food Science for Elementary Teachers," is set for Tuesdays, September 11 through December 11, from 4:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. In addition to West Chester School District, teachers from surrounding school districts are invited to participate. All four courses in the certificate program, which are Act 48-approved, can be applied toward a master's degree at Penn State Great Valley.
