MALVERN - The Penn State Great Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies celebrates Black History Month with an essay writing contest on Wednesday, February 21, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby.
High-school students from the Church Farm School in Exton and Kennett Square Consolidated Area High School in Kennett were invited to write essays based on the quote, "Without vision, there is no people!" The students were asked to share their vision on how to make our nation a more unified nation, keeping in mind the diversity initiatives of black leaders both past and present.
The award-winning essays will be read by the student authors in a special presentation starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Main Lobby.
