As America grows and becomes more diverse, communication among individuals from various nationalities has become increasingly important in forging and maintaining personal and professional relationships. The Diversity Action Council of Penn State Great Valley will try to help close gaps in communication through its next Speaker Series event, “Getting Beyond Cultural Communication Barriers in the Classroom and at Work.” The session will be held on Monday, November 3, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Safeguard Scientifics Building on the Great Valley campus.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Don Jung from San Diego State University. Dr. Jung will highlight the relevance of cross-cultural issues in today’s business and educational environments. Topics such as understanding, communicating, and leading in multi-cultural settings will be addressed.
