Post-Master's Certificate in Human Resources Management

This program is designed for human resource and operating managers or professionals entering the human resources field.  The program focuses on change in the workplace and managing people affected by that change.

Admission requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold a baccalaureate and an advanced (master's or above) degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Meet Post-Master's in Human Resources prerequisite competencies.
  • Submit all necessary forms, documentation, and fees.

Certificate requirements

The Post-Master's Certificate in Human Resources is 12 credits (4 classes).  Students who have not completed a graduate-level organizational behavior course will be required to take MGMT 501 (Behavioral Science in Business) or its equivalent, prior to enrolling in this module.

Management course schedule:

The program offers courses in a 7-week format.  Seven-week classes meet 2 evenings a week. Fourteen-week classes meet 1 evening a week.  Several classes in the 7-week format are held on Saturdays.

There are six 7-week sessions each academic year.  Students may begin at the start of any session.

Management Faculty

The Management faculty represents a mix of academic scholars and business professionals.  The full-time professors all hold doctoral degrees and have professional experience in corporations, non-profits, or as entrepreneurs.  Adjunct professors from corporate and entrepreneurial ventures supplement fundamental management theories with current marketplace experience.

Students

Students in this program come from a wide range of professional backgrounds including human resources, management, process and product redesign, re-engineering, and organizational design and development.

Post-Master's in Human Resources prerequisite competencies

Before enrolling in the Post-Master's Certificate Program in Human Resources Management, students must have completed a graduate level organizational behavior course or take MGMT 501 (Behavioral Science in Business) or its equivalent.
