Conferences: Technology Equipment
Multimedia Technology Classroom – (Rm. 228)
Our multimedia classroom’s technological capabilities enable presenters and faculty members to combine the effects of sound, data, graphics, voice, and video communications to enhance the learning experience. Operating on a DOS/Windows platform, the classroom’s teaching station gives greater flexibility in presenting complex concepts.
Computer Center
The computer center provides laboratories and classroom networks with more than 150 Pentium-class microcomputer workstations for student use. These workstations are connected to the campus local area network (LAN) and to the university’s wide area network (WAN) which allows student access to the Internet and the World Wide Web. Classrooms are used for hands-on instruction, and the lab is available to registered students. Laser printers, digital image, and scanning devices are also available.
Multimedia Equipment
Classrooms can be equipped with overhead projectors, video/computer projectors, VCR’s, monitors, and flip chart easels. Video cameras, slide projectors, film projectors, a public address system, wireless microphones, large-screen projection units, and CD players are also available. Each room is voice and data ready. Distance Education Programs and Remote Conference Capabilities
We offer two-way video conferencing and other educational services using compressed video technology. Users play an interactive part in programs, seminars, or workshops. The center is also a receiving site for satellite video transmissions with downlink capabilities to host national teleconferences, credit courses, and community programming.
