The Role of Heterosexuals in Supporting Gay Rights

Penn State Great Valley’s Diversity Action Council will host the third event in the 2005 Diversity Action Council Speaker Series. The event, entitled “Straightforward: Mobilizing Heterosexual Support for Gays,” will take place on Wednesday, March 9 th at 7:30 p.m. in the Musser Auditorium on the Penn State Great Valley campus.

Jennifer Brown from the Quinnipiac Center on Dispute Resolution at the Quinnipiac University School of Law and a visiting lecturer and senior research scholar at Yale Law School speak about her soon-to-be release book entitled "Straightforward: Mobilizing Heterosexual Support for Gay Rights." The book is due to be published by Princeton University Press in April 2005. It is co-authored by her husband, Ian Ayres (the William K. Townsend professor of law at Yale Law School). The book addresses the fundamental role heterosexuals play in supporting the rights of gay individuals.
