America's Job Bank

  • This free service provides a job bank for users who sign in with a username and password. Searches can be done by location and category. Employers can post jobs and search resumes. Also provided are a financial aid center and career resource library.

  • Job searches can be launched here with keywords such as job category and city and state. Other services include advice and a job seeker toolkit. Also found here is an array of information about relocation, insurance and resumes (which can be posted).
Federal Government

  • Boolean searches can be done for jobs while limiting/expanding to multiple states. Limits can be set both for number of results and relevancy. Search tips and suggestions are given as well as links to other sites.

  • Yahoo’s site can be used to search by a category selection for jobs in a particular area by city and state. In addition to other career issues there is a special section on diversity in the workplace and features to some job searches and resumes. Results include links to other job-related sites.
Jobcircle

  • This site connects employers with job seekers. Jobs can be searched in the classifieds according to category and the perimeters of a zip code. Employer directories are provided in the same fashion and resumes can be submitted.
Job-Hunt

  • This resource to the web’s best job search resources provides information on both choosing and using a site. Issues such as privacy, relocation and interviewing are explored as well.
      Monster

  • This job search site provides for posting of resumes and applications and includes a resume builder as well as information on fee based writing of resumes. Also available is career advice on topics such as interviewing and relocating. RSS feeds are provided as well as networking opportunities, scholarships and job fair information.
